Dalam rombongan Mega, juga tampak Sekjen DPP PDIP Pramono Anung Wibowo, Ketua DPD PDIP Jawa Timur Sirmadji, Wali Kota Djarot Saiful Hidayat, dan Bupati Herry Noegroho.
Kedatangan Mega ini dalam melakukan ziarah menyedot perhatian pengunjung MBK yang setiap akhir pekan atau hari libur nasional selalu penuh dengan pengunjung.
Banyak di antara pengunjung yang kaget dengan kedatangan Mega ini.
Sebab kedatangannya sangat mendadak,jadi tidak ada persiapan khusus di kompleks makam, baik dari pengelola maupun keamanan,tapi acara tersebut tidak ada hambatan apapun.
Ketua DPD PDIP Jatim Sirmadji menuturkan, kedatangan Mega kali ini adalah untuk berziarah ke makam ayahanda. Mengenai kemungkinan berdoa untuk persiapan Kongres PDIP yang dilaksanakan April ini di Bali, Sirmadji mengelak. "Agenda utamanya adalah nyekar. Bu Mega kan anaknya Bung Karno, apalagi Bung Karno itu adalah pemimpin bangsa," jelasnya disela-sela acara kemarin.
Disinggung kedatangan ketum DPP itu sebagai dukungan moral terhadap kadernya yang sedang macung dalam pilkada di Kota Blitar, dia hanya menjawab diplomatis. "Jika untuk dukungan moral kepada kadernya yang macung dalam pilkada Kota Blitar, itu tergantung yang memaknainya. Yang jelas agenda utama Bu Mega adalah nyekar," jawab Sirmadji.
Menanggapi pertanyaan apakah selain nyekar, Mega ingin melihat hasil pergeseran batu nisan Bung Karno. Sebab pada Selasa (30/3) lalu batu nisan tersebut digeser satu meter ke utara. Sirmadji hanya mengatakan, yang mengetahui hal itu hanya Mega sendiri.
Taufiq Kiemas, yang juga ketua MPR RI itu menanggapi pergeseran batu nisan di makam Bung Karno. Taufiq hanya mengatakan, posisi batu nisan saat ini lebih bagus dan lebih lapang daripada sebelumnya. "Bagus, saat ini lebih lapang dan luas," kata Taufiq.
Megawati juga berterima kasih kepada masyarakat jawa timur khususnya warga blitar yang berziarah dimakam ayahanda nya,yang menurut beliau bung karno adalah sosok yang patut diteladani karena dengan kepemimpinannya dulu Indonesia menjadi negara yang maju,dan mega berharap kepada pemerintah agar meniru apa yang dicita-citakan
